Preschooler Packing List

Once children reach preschool age, they become more self-sufficient and packing for a trip is much less anxiety-inducing.  My son loves to help us pack for a trip and we make sure he gets some counting practice by telling him how many of each item to bring down from his room.  A few items on our list have changed as he has grown, but for the most part, the classic list still works.

Heading Home
When it is time to head for home, you can use your packing list to make sure that you don’t leave anything behind.  We often find that things are missing and get to spend a little time looking around for them.  Our son often uses hotel dresser drawers as a stash for his most treasured things.  So look under the beds, in the beds, in all drawers and cupboards, just to be sure.  And if there is a sofa with a hide-a-bed, check under the cushions and in the mattress.  You just never know.
